Clow Valve recently received $90,614 in rebates as the result of two energy savings projects that they completed under Mid-American’s Industrial Partner Program.  For the first project, they successfully modified an iron grinding baghouse to control both iron grinding equipment and iron pangborn machines.  Clow utilized a variable frequency drive (VFD) motor controller, automatic dampers, and transition ductwork to eliminate an older “shaker type” baghouse that had been used with two iron pangborn (shot blast) machines.  The rebate for this project was $72,050.

El segundo proyecto abarcó la mejora de los accesorios de luz a accesorios LED en la instalación de fundición de metal. The rebate for the lighting project was $18,564.  Mid-American Energy estimates that an annual savings for both projects of $17,086 and approximately 311,113 kW hours per year.  This energy consumption equates to 26 average size homes within the Oskaloosa area.
